Nice Simpson...you've wiped Sydney off my work computer desktop with those.

Come on Jonny - lets be having the comeback!

Ok. It may just have to wait a little while until the summer, then I can capture the sun setting behind the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Bedminster vs Sydney Harbour. I like it.

Nice work with photoshop though Andy. It looks like you touched those colours up nicely.

Who Me?

Hand on my heart, I can honestly say I haven't messed with them at all. In fact, when I tried the 'autocolour' option on Picassa, it actually took away a lot of the colour.

We were driving home from footy as the sun began to set, and the streets turned orange. It was stunning.

Now, I'm not amazingly well travelled, but I've seen better sunsets in Bristol than anywhere else I've been. Admittedly the foreground can be somewhat lacking, but in terms of the sky alone, you can't beat Brissle.

I believe you Andy.

Bristol does have some real crackers and those pictures are tops, even with the terraced foreground. Maybe you could get one looking at the suspension bridge? That'd be great.

Maybe I should post some of the ones I took in Perth last year then? There's something rather nice about the sun setting over the Indian ocean (but considering I live in Sydney it's probably not worth it).

As I said before, I'll probably have to wait for the summer to get some nice Sydney ones though - but it should be worth the wait.

Ahhhh, football on the Downs. Great memories.

I was just thinking "The best sunsets I've ever seen have been in England" when you said it (although you pinned it down to Bristol). Me and Ella went chasing a sunset in Downend once to try and get a good shot and ended up wandering through someone's allotment.

That's it, there's no punchline.

Didn't you see some beauties in Darwin Mike?

Mindil Beach is famous for them. I think Broome has come great sunsets as well.

But yeah, Andy has captured this one very well. It will take some beating.

They are indeed H, in fact it's funny that you should ask, as I was planning to mention it on my next blog anyway.

Mike, I was going to say that English sunsets are the best, but it just so happens that all of the best ones I've seen have been in Bristol. Funny that, seeing as I live here.
